The QSSS had very good role in the building of houses in the Tsunami affected area. QSSS had undertaken the construction of 1028 houses at the following places. Moothakkara, Thannimukku, Sakthikulangara, Kuttikkad, Chavara I, Chavara II, Karikuzhy and Akkolil as per GO (Rt) No.1909/2008/DMD dated 7/6/2008. The Government order was issued to QSSS on the basis of Social commitment evidenced by us in the whole rehabilitation process after the Tsunami disaster in December 2004. Thus the Govt. decided to implement the construction of the above house for the affected through QSSS on “no profit no loss” basis. QSSS started the work after executing MoU with the District Collector.
